The Gambia’s men beach volleyball team came first in the just ended CAVB continental cup Group C qualifiers played in Banjul Saturday. The boys beat South Sudan 2-0in straight sets (21-11, 21-15).
However with three other nations Mauritius, Botswana and Kenya absent in the Banjul qualifiers, both Gambia and South Sudan now rightfully take the only two available spots to the final round of the qualifiers.
The next round will feature
eight countries with only top finisher progressing to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo as Africa’s representatives.
